Description inside property: The house has been tastefully converted from a barn and has plenty of original features from the oak beams throughout the house to the exposed stone walls on the ground floor. Breakfast is taken in the family lounge/dining room. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge used for breakfast, the stove in the lounge provides heating for the bedrooms via ducting plus electric heaters in each room. Downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are two double bedroom, one of these has a king size bed with an ensuite shower room. One twin bedded room. Cot can be provided if requested, child car seat and trolly, available. There is a large family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle.
Internet connection/WiFi on request.
Description outside property: A large garden lawned with young fruit trees, at present the area is under going landscaping. Garden table and chairs for eight people, under large hexagonal pergola, with BBQ.

Description of local area and activities
The property provides the ideal holiday home to relax and enjoy life away from the hustle and bustle of life. However, for those wishing to use their holiday home as a base for exploring the beautiful Loire region there is easy access to many places to enjoy a great day out, for example.
Mayenne – the river after which the town is named provides fishing, kayaking or boat trips. There is a 11th century chateau and a basilica dedicated to Notre Dame. Markets are held in the town Saturday/Monday mornings and there is a plentiful supply of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
Carrouges – a beautiful chateau – the headquarters of the National Park.
Evron – large market held every Thursday morning.
Laval – the 11th century chateau dominates this historic town.
Jublains – Gallo Roman city with first signs of occupation tracing back to the 3rd century BC
The Alpes Mancelles - a beautiful location in the Loire - visit St Ceneri de Gerei – one of the prettiest villages in France with excellent restaurants. Nearby St Leonard des Bois has many fine nature trails and why not try the fresh spring water emerging from the cliffs.
Further afield, St Michel Mont is a very popular place to visit, and for those interested in World War 2 there is a museum at Conlie nr Le Mans. Why not take the TGV French fast train service from Laval and reach Paris within one hour, the TGV experience is one not to be missed.
Of course, we must mention the 24 hour Le Mans race which takes place in June each year. Also Ernee, as a Motor X circuit, which is about 20 minutes away. Racing this year (2009) takes place in June.
There are many other places to visit too numerous to be mentioned here but information will be available in the house.
Listed below is the nearest ferry port of Caen. There are also excellent roads from the port of Calais via P & O, Sea France and Eurotunnel. Speedferries provide a 50 minute crossing from Dover to Boulogne and LD Lines operate from Portsmouth & Newhaven to Le Havre and Newhaven to Dieppe. See the Links page to obtain booking details.
